The panel is on the outside of the RV, so it is easily disturbed by rain and snow. That Area is not a waterproof area for any electronic circuit board, a waterproof film covers the PC Board normally.  Replace the outer cover for added Protection of the PCB components so that water cannot touch PC Board after you installing.  It will operate  control per model features.
